Malibu Cove Colony
To the south of the much-photographed Paradise Cove in Malibu is the highly exclusive Malibu Cove Colony. Don't confuse Malibu Cove Colony with the gated, star-studded Malibu Colony, as they are different neighborhoods.
Surfers love the breaks of the sandy beaches near Malibu Cove Colony. Much like Malibu Colony, Malibu Cove Colony is a gated, well-landscaped private community where some of the most compelling modern and contemporary beach homes are located.
Nearby are the famed Latigo tide pools, which give way to views of Point Dume.
The draw of both privacy and beach-front living makes the neighborhood popular. The first homes were erected in Malibu Cove Colony in 1957. However, nearly all of them have been renovated and expanded by now. Malibu Cove Colony also has an active homeowners' association.
